It’s said that Natsume Soseki came up with it after overhearing a student translate “I love you” to Japanese in a very literal sense. While there is no source confirming that this exchange actually happened, I still think a scene referencing the expression with Natsume randomly appearing would be hilarious

Om a different note, has your tumblr banner been changing? Every now and then I look at the picture of the amazingly filthy room, and I swear it got messier/dirtier the last time I looked at it

No, the image has not been changed since this blog was made (I mean the file on my computer, and so the image in the banner can't be different either).

BUT... this actually alludes to something and I will reward your question with a sneak peak. Because, you see, this picture is from my still-in-development slob game (it's fallen to the wayside over the holidays but I'm planning to start work again soon). And in that game, the room actually does in fact start out neat and becomes messier. The version shown is the end result.

I'm still working on the in-between stages though.

There are other rooms (lounge, bedroom, bathroom) but those I started from a clean room and am building up to a messy room, so they're relatively cleaner currently:

So I like to think post Chosen Kennedy and Willow are long distance for a bit, Kennedy's busy on the Cleveland Hellmouth, Willow gets to go back to uni and finish her education, at I dunno MIT doing cool techno witch stuff, now that everything's not so dire that she needs to be on hand for magic solutions. And that she's not in quite so dire a place. Anyway this is them meeting up for the first time in a few months. Willow's roommate is exiled for the night and then the day after she's showing off her super cool super powered hot girlfriend who totally exists she just lives in Cleveland and fights vampires to all the friends she's made at uni.

I occasionally wish to reach out to old friends/acquaintances I haven't spoken to since high school/some other even earlier time in my life, but I have SOOO little social energy even for required tasks (like making dr phone calls or etc), I never have any leftover for extra ones, and it would be very odd to message someone I haven't spoken to in like 5 years out of the blue but then take 4 entire months to respond back lol.. My natural curiosity with nostalgia/collecting details of the past/etc. (literally if I were born a little earlier I would definitely do scrapbooking or something lol) is very strong, but, alas, not strong enough to beat out the Social Issues Demons apparently

I never shown this to anyone else except for those close to me but here's a thing I did for my first time drawing all the neighbors in WH (Welcome Home) in my comfort art style. This is one of my favorites that helped me be more comfortable with WH itself. (And to practice on how to draw them in general.)

I went looking for a recording from one of my classes with Jill, where I shared something I wrote about Naya. And I finally found my stash of recordings… and got predictably lost in them. God we all had so much fucking fun together. After she died, I was hesitant to say we were friends, behind the fog of grief. But watching these videos, the whole little group of us, there really is no other word for it.

Anyway, I found what I was looking for. Now I need to edit it… and probably ask permission from the other people in the video before I share it.
